At Vale da Cegonha we aim to provide the best of all worlds for everyone. Our holiday villas are situated in the picturesque Alentejo region of Portugal and consist of a traditionally styled, elegant country villa and a cottage with spacious accommodation.

Our villas are set within 20 acres (7 hectares) of land amidst gloriously unspoiled country side, offering the perfect rural retreat.

All of our holiday accommodation is finished to the highest standards with full modern facilities and high quality furnishings throughout. Casa Aguia and Casa Cegonha together form an elegant traditionally-styled country property.

Casa Aguia has 2 luxurious bedrooms, both en suite, as well as an extremely spacious lounge and a fully equipped kitchen/diner. Casa Cegonha has 1 equally luxurious en suite bedroom and a spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner.

All areas of Casa Aguia and Casa Cegonha, including the surrounding terraces, landscaped grounds and the swimming pool, are fully accessible to wheelchair users.

Casa Andorinha is a delightfully intimate detached cottage, located approximately 40 meters from our main villa. It has an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner as well as a spacious double/family bedroom with full en suite bathroom.

Outside both villa properties there are shady terraces for alfresco dining and lawned areas. The large 10x5 metre heated saltwater swimming pool, which is shared, has beside it a shady pergola and  sun terraces with loungers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Most of our rooms offer spectacular views of  the swimming pool and  valley towards the distant hills. From the terraces you can enjoy magical evenings watching the sun go down followed by a dazzling display of starlight, thanks to the clean, clear air.

This area of Portugal has much to offer: history, culture, nature and wildlife, as well as activity and adventure - and our central location means that all places of interest are within easy reach, whatever your choice may be.

If you are planning to set up home here, then regular visits are often necessary.

We can offer preferential rates for homeseekers as well as Project Preparation, Monitoring and Liaison Services, if required.
